Why Does Rahul Gandhi Skip The Country When he is needed here most? By RKB
The Honourable and most respected Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankar has questioned the Supreme Court’s directions to the President of India and by default to the Governors of States that they cannot hold permissions for Bills indefinitely
The other Hon’ble gentleman from the Bharatiya Janata Party namely Member of Parliament Shri Nishikant Dubey has been more forthright in his criticism of the apex Court; he says the SC seems to decide the law based on who is standing in front of it
A lot of people find this to be blasphemous
Well I don’t
I have always maintained criticism of a decision of the Courts is not and cannot be contempt of court
Whereas VP Dhankar saheb is protected by Constitutional immunity, what he had to say has a lot of truth in it
Frankly in a democracy there can be no Holy Cows except the Holy Cow herself
Everything and anything must and should be liable to criticism and that includes the Supreme Court
However this is not about the Courts
This is about how in the face of a huge political opportunity in the shape of VP Dhankar’a comments on the SC and MP Dubey’s straight from the shoulder attack the Congress Party has faltered again
Their main lethal weapon namely Rahul Gandhi has gone off to the United Statws of America ..again
Rightfully he should have been here leading the charge against the so called “impropriety of BJP MPs”
And I can’t even say it’s the heat because Rahul Gandhi has shown during his Bharat Jodo Yatra he is unruffled by heat and unaffected by the cold
So why has he upped and left?
What could be so urgent in the USA?
Has he gone there to change US President’s Trump’s mind about India?
Has he gone there to lobby for the return of other fugitives (now that terrorist Tahawwur Rana has reached India) ?
What has he gone there for?
The action right now is here, in India
In Delhi. In Mumbai. In Kolkata. In Chennai
His name along with mother Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald chargesheet seems to have galvanised the Congress
I have not seen the Congress so energised as it is in Mumbai and in Maharashtra
Varshatai Gaekwad daughter of my dear friend the late Eknath Gaekwad has begun to do what should have been done years ago; she’s out on the streets making sure everyone knows the Congress is alive, well and ready to rumble
The new Maharashtra Congress President Harshvardhan Sapkal is proving to be a made of far sterner stuff than anyone had imagined; every district in Maharashtra has now woken up to a renewed Congress
But where is Rahul Gandhi?
This is when the Congress needs its talisman the young man in the white T-shirt to lead them
And here’s what I would like to know
Why couldn’t Rahul Gandhi’s advisers just put their foot down and say “NO SIR YOU ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE, we need you right here!”
There’s that thing about the insult to the Supreme Court Alleged Muslim humiliation with regard to the Waqf Act, broken promises on farmers’ loan waiver, the downsizing of the Ladki Behna scheme, no money left for regular schemes in Maharashtra because the Ladki Behna payout before the elections emptied the treasury. a 90 year old Jain Temple demolished in Mumbai without a Court order
I could go on
And this is just one state
Why am I talking so much of Maharashtra/Mumbai?
That’s because I believe the Congress revival will come from here
But without either Rahul Gandhi or Priyanka Gandhi to lead it, it will just achieve so much and that’s it…
Rahul Gandhi is needed here
Why is he in the USA?
No wonder the BJP has a field day in describing Rahul Gandhi as a part time politician
