🇮🇳The Great two time Olympic Hockey Champion #BalbirSingh Sr was Coach and Manager of the Indian Hockey Team for the 1975 World Cup at Kuala Lumpur (the only time India won the Hockey World Cup)
🇮🇳Just before the final was to be played with Pakistan Balbir saw the great #AslamSherKhan, the lone Muslim in the Indian team, board a bus to offer Namaz at the Kuala Lumpur Mosque; he decided to accompany him!
🇮🇳The bus also had the Pakistani team players, also going for Namaz! The Pakistani Hockey legend #AbdulRashid turned to his players and said “ab toh India Hi jeeteyga Aaj…ab jab yeh Lal Pagdi waala Sardar bhi Namaz padega toh Allah toh inhi Ki baat sunega “
